Events in Area of Neretva River

Days of Neretva principality is three-day event where entire area is celebrating the tradition of the Neretva valley. There is a fair of traditional crafts, rural games, homemade products, plays and more.

The Neretva boat marathon called “Maraton lađa” is the main event of this celebration. It’s amateur sports competition. Boat marathon is a race in Neretva county authentic boats called “lađa”. This event is held annually in August. Marathon starts in town of Metković and finishes in tow of Ploče. The length of this route is 22,5 kilometers.

This event has a great role in maintaining and promoting the tradition of this area. It’s a unique opportunity for visitors to see the real authentic Neretva boats and its craw.

Mljet Eco Art Festival

Island of Mljet is real nature pearl of Adriatic and an unavoidable destination for all nature lovers. Eco Art Festival that is taking place during the summer on Mljet is the first event of that kind in Croatia.
Eco Art Festival features a series of educational and creative workshops that will be held during the July and August on a different locations all over the island. The participants of the festival will get a chance to explore and build their creativity while raising the awareness of nature conservation.

Participation in all workshops are free of charge.

The Night of Wine in Ston
