Mediterranean Fair of Healthy Food, Medicinal Herbs and Green Entrepreneurship in Dubrovnik is the biggest national gathering of small and medium manufacturers.
Manufacturers form this area have one key advantage continental – Mediterranean position. The specific Mediterranean climate enables production of top-quality medicinal herbs and organic food. This fair is been organized for a first time in 2004 with a goal to gather producers of healthy, organic food, medical herbs and green entrepreneurs from all over Croatia and neighboring countries.
Trough years this fair has grown in recognized manifestation that is gathering participants, experts, sponsors and enthusiasts in order to represent a small part of the abundance of ecological and traditional products from our country.
This specialized event has become a very important fair held in Croatian region Dubrovnik-Neretva county in the field of ecological, traditional agriculture and environmental entrepreneurship. The fair is supported by the President of the Republic of Croatia Ms. Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Crafts, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Regional Development and EU funds whether by their sponsorship or active participation in the fair.
Last year the Mediterranean Fair of Healthy Food, Medicinal Herbs and Green Entrepreneurship gather over 200 participants from the Croatia and neighboring Mediterranean countries. Fair visited more than 30 000 visitors.
This year in focus of the fair is expansion with new products like hybrid, electric vehicles, eco-furniture and clothing made of natural materials. Within the fair is organized manifestation Days of Honey in Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Goal of fair this year is raising the quality of exhibitors’ performance, as well as raising the quality of environmental and traditionally grown products.
Organizers prepared educational lectures, workshops, round tables and scientific congress meetings. Also, the participants with best presentation, the best product, the best herbal product, and contribution for promotion of eco–economy in Croatia will be awarded.
The Fair has exhibition and sales character. So, the entrance for all visitors is free of charge, and they will have a chance to see, smell, taste and buy this marvelous Mediterranean products.
